Our Story

Kam & Sam

We’ve known each other our whole lives, and for almost a decade we whimsically talked about “doing something together” and starting a food business. In the summer of 2025, we finally took the plunge and launched Rangutan Super Scran in the heart of Birmingham.

Our food truck is a true mix of divergent experience and passions as Sam brings a strong culinary background and years of food business experience, while Kam adds inspiration from his travels in Japan. Together, we’ve created a weird and wonderful Japanese–South Asian fusion menu that’s all about flavours and dishes you won’t find anywhere else!
